How to satisfy your customers?
Research has shown:
- Service standards must come all the way from the top and permeate the organisation. If not then this will be communicated to the customers through sloppy service.
- Service amounts for 40% of a customer's decision to buy. It therefore pays to invest in improving your service standards.
- An unhappy customer will tell on average 20 people, who in turn tell 10. What damage could this be doing to your business, particularly when you consider that most Irish people don't bother to voice their complaints to the company they are unhappy with?
- Talk and listen to your staff to see how service standards could be improved. They know best because they work at the coalface every day.
- Invest in training. Why? Because it pays.
- Communicate your service excellence. Do not keep a secret of it. Let, as many people know about it as possible.
