The Success Barriers
An owner manager’s role can be a lonely one. While the demands
of the top job in any organisation are intense, many owner managers
privately miss the opportunity to discuss their role or performance
and also to enhance their professional and leadership skills.
Paradoxically, the increase demands for a growing profitable business
do not leave sufficient time for owners of businesses to devote
to developing long-term strategies. When you think about it, the
reason for the success of a business is the ability of the owner
to create and implement the business’ vision and strategy.
A major contributor to work in coaching is Harvard educator Timothy
Gallwey, who wrote such books as the "The Inner Game of Tennis."
His work emphasised the need to develop an inner state conducive
to performance, since any athletes most formidable opponent is in
the head, not on the playing field. He maintains if the coach can
help the player reduce or remove these internal obstacles, then
his own natural ability will flow out, without much technical information
from the coach.
This approach to releasing another person’s inner power can
be applied to business coaching. The goal of the coach is simply,
unlock the person’s potential, to maximise their performance.
Why Use a Business Coach
Why would someone need a coach to help them achieve their goals?
The fact is, if Tiger Woods or Sonia O’Sullivan could do it
all on their own, they wouldn’t have a Coach.
But human nature being what it, there are many reasons why we don’t
always see things clearly on our own, or keep promises to ourselves.
Perhaps we are unaware of our blind spots in developing winning
habits. In addition, procrastination or the need to develop certain
skills or some knowledge may be holding us back from being our best.
The owners of small to medium sized businesses find it challenging
to keep pace with all the changes and innovations going in their
respective businesses, then add into the mix, finding time for marketing,
sales, systems, planning and team management, in addition to simply
running the business.
In a world where the difference that makes all the difference can
be those small things around the edges, a business coach is no longer
a luxury, but a necessity. Based on the unique strategies developed
by Terry Judge, you will create a framework for your life that will
allow you to increase your sales, improve your profits, so that
as the owner of the business you work less and relax more.
Terry will help you make your dreams come true. Why? Because his
goal is simply – to help you reach yours.
Focus
In order to facilitate this process, it is critical that my clients
and I both clearly understand the following
- What is the client’s goal?
- The reality of their current situation
- What is the extent of the gap between the two?
- What obstacle or barriers either internal or external exist?
- What are the client’s options to achieve their goal?
- Agree specific action steps to achieving the goal.
- Meet and review with the client to ensure the steps have
been taken.
Non-Judgemental
This process only works in an atmosphere of complete openness,
honesty and trust. To facilitate this process the coach approaches
the client in a non-judgemental way. This provides the psychic space
for the client to express themselves fully. The style of coaching
employed is non-directive. This means that the role of the coach
is to ask questions so that the client reaches their own solutions
to their own challenges.

Why should Financial Advisers work
with mindsolutions?
Terry has worked in financial services for over 10 years and specifically
as a broker consultant. This was his first glimpse into the issues
and challenges faced by financial advisers. He understands those
challenges and uses unique Coaching Strategies to help you navigate
successfully, a path through to your goals.
One of Terry’s clients, a Financial Adviser, has doubled
the size of his practice in two years. This process delivers real
and tangible results for the client.
We can tailor a specific coaching package for you depending on
your needs. This can range from “On Demand Coaching”,
to “High Performance Sales Coaching”, to the “Complete
Coaching Package.” These can be done either over the phone
or face-to-face, depending on your specific needs.
We do not use a specific “one size fits all” coaching
system. We do use broad coaching strategies as themes to the coaching.
This gives us the flexibility to adapt to your needs throughout
the coaching process.
